Ready to begin the final phase of your post gastric bypass diet ?
It's probably been around 2 months since your surgery. You're now ready to begin the final phase of your post gastric bypass diet. If you are like me ....It's been a rough couple of months but the worse is behind us. This is when I started to feel better. When I started to feel a little stronger and began to feel like there was light at the end of the tunnel. Oh don't get me wrong I still had a long way to go but this was the beginning of the new healthier, happier me!
Remember to go slowly !
Raw fruits and vegetables,like citrus fruits can be added as tolerated.
Follow a low fat diet and avoid simple sugars.
Continue to eat slowly and chew food thoroughly .
Your daily protein intake remains at a minimum of 60 grams.
Take all your prescribed supplements.
Stay hydrated.
Talk to your doctor about your daily caloric intake.
Be active, now that you are getting stronger and eating more , exercise is very important.

Post Gastric Bypass Diet Final phase
Regular Diet sample meal plan.
Time Amount Food Protein
8:00AM 1/2 cup low fat cottage cheese 14
1/2 cup lite pineapple
Liquid between meal 1 cup fat free milk 8
Noon 1/4 cup canned water packed tuna with 14
1tsp lite mayonaise
1 slice wheat bread
1/4 cup soft cooked green beans
Liquid between meal 1 cup water or low calorie beverage
3:00 PM 1/2 cup Sugar free pudding made with 4
fat free milk
Liquid between meal 1 cup fat free milk 8
6:00PM 1/4 cup (2oz) baked chicken 14
1/4 cup mashed potatoes
1/4 cup soft cooked carrots
Liquid between meal 3 cups water or low calorie beverage
Total Protein 62
Remember even though you are in the final phase of your post gastric bypass diet you still need to eat slowly and Stop when you feel full.
You've come a long way and little by little you will start to feel more your old self again.... Just thinner, healthier and happier!
